VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA
AUGUST 2017

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe celebrated Virginia Wesleyan's NCAA Division III national softball champions July 27 at his office in Richmond, where members of the team presented him with his very own Marlins jersey and softball. It was great to talk intercollegiate athletics and Virginia higher education with the Governor, who later invited the team to tour the Executive Mansion. This has been an exciting summer of recognition for this outstanding group of players and coaches, and we are truly grateful for the support from leadership across Coastal Virginia and the Commonwealth.
